Sleigh beds are dreamily unique. They fit well in both traditional and contemporary design settings and are available in many different colours, styles and finishes.
Our specially made and selected sleigh beds are actually types of divan beds. Meaning they are lighter and easier to move about than most other types of bed. They are bound to add a ‘wow’ factor to your bedroom and double-up as ideal storage space savers.
Sleigh beds get their name from their curved sleigh-like headboards and footboards. They are sometimes also known as ‘scroll beds‘.

We’ve got some of the best affordable sleigh beds on the market.
Up until recently the wooden sleigh bed was the default, classic style of choice. But now the most sought-after models are fabric sleigh beds. And we’ve got a huge range of them with a number of bed designs and storage options to suit your individual tastes. Including:
- Ottoman storage beds
- Chesterfield sleigh beds
- Diamante, castello, mink chenille, velvet and crushed velvet fabrics
- Sizes ranging from small single beds to super king size sleigh beds
As you can see, the price of our beds and bedroom furniture is much lower than most other sleigh bed companies. That’s because we manufacture everything ourselves. We don’t have to rely on other companies, such as shipping companies. Which all drives down operational costs.
A popular spin-off of the sleigh bed look is wingback beds. They have sharply curved headboards and a flat foot end.

We offer three different types of mattresses based on firmness:
- Orthopaedic mattresses — A mid-to-soft firmness, allowing your body to sink in a little more.
- 1500 pocket spring tinsel top mattresses — Middle firmness, for a standard sleep experience.
- 1500 pillow-top mattresses — Mid-to-hard firmness. With this type, you won’t sink into the mattress as much.

Q1: What style is a sleigh bed?
A combination of French and American “empire styles” from the early nineteenth century. This empire style in itself was heavily inspired by the even earlier empires of the ancient Romans and Greeks. Giving this type of bed a style that has been popular for thousands of years.
Q2: How much weight can a sleigh bed hold?
It depends on the size of the bed and the type of mattress. But as a rule of thumb, all mattresses are designed to support around 18 stone (252lbs) per person. Please, contact us if you have queries about the weight limit on the bed you want.
Q3: Does a sleigh bed come with a mattress?
Yes! At our store, you can easily pick a carefully designed mattress to fit with any type and size of bed you want. This is not the case with a lot of other bed companies, however, meaning you’ll have to carefully research the right type of mattress to go with it. But we do all the hard work for you.
Q4: Do you use a box spring with a sleigh bed?
You don’t NEED one, but you might prefer to. You don’t have to use a box spring — as long as you don’t mind being lower to the ground and bed base. But if you like to have the bed higher up and above the base then you can use one. Box springs can add an extra layer of support and a more firm base to place your mattress on.
